Pink Superheroes

October is Breast Cancer awareness month.  This year, I somehow signed up to participate in a parade by survivors.  For the parade, we were assigned to groups of 4 and have to choose a theme.  Our group chose Superheroes as our theme.  And we have to DIY our costumes and accessories.   Me DIY??? Thank God I have my super sister in law Azlin to the rescue. She's really good at this.

So who did I dress up as?  I thought really hard - Supergirl? Batgirl? Black Widow? I didn't know how to make these costumes! Haha!  So, I decided to be Harley Quinn!  Her costume was easy enough - torn up tshirt & jeans, dirty leggings. I already have a blond wig somewhere, just need to add some colours to it. Just need to find a mallet or baseball bat.

So yeah! I found some cheap tshirt and short jeans in a bundle shop.  Azlin helped me (more like took charge coz I'm hopeless) with the tshirt & shorts dye, that was really fun. I splashed some paint on my old legging and made a paper mache Mallet.

My other team members were so much better.  Audrey was Wonder Woman, Mazwin was Supergirl and Syahima was Wakanda Warrior.

Unfortunately pandemic was at full blown nearer to the date of the parade.  So the organizers changed the whole format, we had to record ourselves doing a parade. For this, we chose Taman Tugu as the venue, and Azlin again agreed to help us to record us.

The morning came.  Sadly Syahima was not well so he couldn't join us.  The rest of us had fun parading in our costumes with a bunch of children getting excited when they saw Wonder Woman and Supergirl.  But people had to ask me who I was supposed to be! Hahaha!  Told them I'm the sidekick.

So here are some video and shots of us :-)  Good fun
